The Firearms Safety Code is currently being updated, to align it to the Arms Act 2026. While the safety messages remain largely accurate, some details may be out of date.

Please continue to familiarise yourself with the safe possession, storage, transportation and usage guidance set out in the Safety Code on this page.

We are working on refreshing the Firearms Safety Code as quickly as possible and we expect to complete the update in the next few weeks.
